Consultant (Instructional Designer)

*Please note this role is hybrid (remote with the ability to meet in person with stakeholders/clients in Northern, CA up to 25% of the time)

We partner with our clients to analyze their specific business needs, their corporate culture, and their infrastructure. Then we look at performance gaps before building out the design and development of a performance-improving solution.

Mosaic is looking for a passionate and client-focused Consultant (Instructional Designer) who can create and lead efforts to design and deliver user documentation and training materials for either instructor-led training (ILT) or Web-based training (WBT). We are looking for a confident problem-solver with a track record of success that isn’t afraid of change or ambiguity. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, is approachable and capable of working with others at all levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand target audiences to assess needs and design course curriculums.
• Technical writing/writing procedures.
• Build out and provide recommendations on developing creative, engaging, and effective learning solutions for clients.
• Ability to create and link outcomes and objectives to learning assessments.
• Effectively collaborate with subject matter experts, technical staff, project teams, and trainers to develop information into a final product.
• Provide a consultative approach to designing media rich solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Stay up to date with trends, techniques, new technologies and methodologies in the learning and development field.
• Ability to flex to client’s needs and provide support in areas outside of assigned job responsibilities.
• Complete post-production work i.e., quality (content, functionality), makes recommendations to improvement of customer-service standards, and identifies work process improvements.

The compensation range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making hiring and compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to candidate skill set, consulting experience, training and education, competencies, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Mosaic strives to set salaries at, or near the 50th percentile (midpoint) of the range and it is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range for the position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program of up to 5% of annual compensation. The bonus program is dependent on a variety of factors including organizational and individual performance.
