Within the next several years, electric utilities will continue to move to Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and that change will touch nearly every department and employee group. This acquisition ensures Mosaic is positioned to handle the high level of demand for training in this space.

Mosaic, a national training and workforce consulting firm with over 20 years of experience in utility and oil & gas industries, leads the industry in field operations and enterprise application training for clients including PG&E, American Electric Power, Southern Company, NiSource, CenterPoint Energy, Dominion Energy Ohio, DCP Midstream, Puget Sound Energy, and Ameren Illinois.

L4SG’s capabilities complement Mosaic almost perfectly. Virtually all their services are aligned to electric system operations and maintenance, whereas Mosaic primarily serves natural gas and electric field operations.

Mosaic has a broad client base and an incredible ability to scale. Integrating L4SG’s control room expertise into Mosaic’s highly evolved consulting operations group will bring L4SG’s deep knowledge to a larger audience while facilitating the scaling and process improvement needed to continue to offer best-in-class capabilities to the electric utility industry’s control rooms.

Founded in 2007, L4SG provides training and change management solutions in the electric utility construction, operations, and maintenance arenas. L4SG’s primary services include facilitating enterprise change, creating custom training solutions, and assisting in transformational control room change as performance improvement and distribution operations experts.

Over the past 10 years, the electric utility distribution operations business has seen an extraordinary amount of change in solar, battery, electric vehicles, technological improvements in smart meters, and the evolution of the smart grid. At the same time, increased retirements in the industry and technological advances in managing the grid have led to increased complexity and extensive operational change across distribution channels. These changes have led to the advancement of transformational technology and ADMS.

These industry-wide changes and challenges have led to L4SG’s rapid growth, particularly over the last six years. As the need for control room-centered consulting and training services expands, the Mosaic acquisition will enable us to continue to provide experienced and talented resources to both our current clients and greater breadth of electric utilities preparing for or in progress with the transformational change of moving to an ADMS.
